The doctors, nurses and surgical technologists start work by 7 am and don't leave the hospital until 9 or 10 pm. Their tireless focus is an inspiration.

Healing the Children is a non-profit organization that envisions a world where every child has access to medical care. In April 2009, medical personnel from New York travel to Santa Marta, Colombia, to perform surgeries on children in need. I am here to share their stories.
